UTRGV Football Announces Home Stadium

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) football program has finally found a permanent home stadium. The school announced on Friday that the Vaqueros will play their home games at the newly constructed UTRGV Stadium in Edinburg, Texas.
The stadium is located on the UTRGV campus and has a capacity of 3,000 fans. It features a natural grass playing surface, a state-of-the-art press box, and a video scoreboard. The stadium also has concessions, restrooms, and merchandise stands.
"We are excited to finally have a permanent home stadium for our football program," said UTRGV head coach Travis Bush. "This is a first-class facility that will provide our players and fans with a great gameday experience."
UTRGV football will begin play in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) in 2023. The Vaqueros' first home game at UTRGV Stadium will be on August 26, 2023, against the Abilene Christian Wildcats.
